Sunday James Hall and Dave Galbraith head up to Ponteland near Newcastle Upon Tyne for Cramlington and District Motor Clubs Autocross. James is playing safe and using his MG ZR after a run of DNFs in his Peugeot Special whilst Dave takes his trusty Suzuki Swift.

Good luck all and thanks for choosing SOCC

Great to see all 3 SOCC Juniors finish the Sheffield and Hallamshire Stage Rally at Leconfield today.

Max Speed had a great day with some good pace to finish 2nd overall.

Issac Spiers had a trouble free run and gaining more experience finishing 7th overall.

Jack Birch with Mike Jode alongside on just his 2nd rally bought the Micra home 8th overall.

Well Done Lads. Thanks for choosing SOCC.

5 SOCC Members headed to Green Belt Motor Clubs Autocross on Sunday to compete in the Clubmens event.

Dave Galbraith had a good run in his A1 Suzuki Swift finishing 1st in class and 2nd overall.

Matt Endean took 3rd overall and 2nd in A1 in the VW Golf he was sharing with Suze Endean who finished 3rd in class and 5th overall.

Dave Lumsdale in his Special had a trouble free day and came home with a class win and 4th overall.

Sadly James Hall broke his Peugeot Special on his practise run and retired

Saturdays Bill Gwynne Summer Autotest/PCA saw Dave Lumsdale come away with FTD and in doing so took the lead of the 2021 SOCC Charlie's Travel Autotest Championship.

James Hall had led from the 1st test and built up a commanding lead until sadly he wrong tested on test 17 throwing away the win.

Busy weekend approaching for SOCC and its Members. Saturday we have the Bill Gwynne Summer Autotest/PCA.

With 3 drivers tied for the overall lead in the 2021 SOCC Charlies Travel Autotest Championship its bound to be a good 1........

Sunday we also have Members out on 2 others events. A few are heading down to compete on Green Belt Motor Clubs round of the ASWMC Autocross Championship.

Oxford Motor Clubs Akeman 20/20 sees a couple of Members out competing on the event. Good luck all and thanks for choosing SOCC........

Good Pint and Catch up at The Swan........

Cracking clubnight at Tuthill Porsche. Many thanks to Richard and Andy for allowing some of SOCC's Members to come and have a look around.

Mixed fortunes for our members out competing at the Weekend.

Lewis Ayris and Kim Bannister were out on the Cotswold Historic Rally in the RPS prepared MGB. Various test venues and regularity sections made this a very popular event and a big well done to Lewis and Kim for taking the overall win in the Clubmens event.

Less fortunate were Alfie Hammond and Peter Williams on the Phoenix Stages at Fulbeck Airfield.

A coming together with a straw bale and suspension issues kept them down the leader board.

Eventually the pairing finished 47th overall and 8th in class. The result does mean that they still head the 2021 SOCC Rally Championship.

Jack, David & Max in action today at Curborough Sprint Circuit today.

The 3 Junior Members of SOCC are also part of the Bill Gwynne Rallyschool Junior Team and today were having coaching from BTRDA frontrunner Callum Black.

Next rally for them is Round 2 of the F1000 Junior Rally Championship at Leconfield Airfield near Beverley in Yorkshire.

Keep up the good work Lads and good luck on round 2

Good weekend for our members out and about flying the SOCC Flag.

Dave Galbraith headed north for Cramlington and District Autocross. In the heats he made 4th overall and 2nd in class. Sadly he couldn't compete in the runs offs later in the day due to his cars spec.

Bob and Iulian competed in Basingstokes Cross Border 12 car and finished 1st novice crew.

Matt and Suze Endean headed to North Weald for Green Belts MCs sprint in their trusty Micra. Matt finished 33rd and 1st in class with Suze coming home 42nd and 3rd in class.

Well done to you all and thanks for choosing SOCC.

Today was spent at Walters Arena with Tuthill Porsche for a pre East African Safari Classic Test.

Back when SOCC was formed the aim among other things was to encourage and support our Junior members.

The Stephen Paine Junior Challenge Shield is presented to our Junior member who the club feel has performed and promoted themselves the best during the season.

In 2020 David Burden was the well deserved winner of the Junior Shield and part of his prize was to spend a day at a test. And today was the day.

Big thanks to Richard and Andy from Tuthill Porsche for the support.

It could be you in 2021...........

Both competed in MG ZRs with James winning his class and 16th overall.
